“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
Maya angelou

Today marks the end of my 20s and a new era into my 30s! Check out my blog from last year on turning 29 as many of the thoughts shared then still remain relevant to me this year.
I am holding to the belief that 30 will be a year of continued thriving for me. My 30s will be an expression of the healing, self-love, and confident inner voice that I have cultivated through the trails of life —most notably what I experienced in my late 20s with the unexpected loss of my father and sister. However, a great deal of change has happened within this year alone that has promoted additional growth and revelations for me. In 2022, I moved to a new state, started a new career, and have even found myself seriously dating for the first time in my adult life.
All that being said, I am nothing without the precious favor of God. I have so clearly seen His hand in this season of my life more than ever before. There were times this year where I questioned if I was making the right decisions by prioritizing myself, setting healthy boundaries with others, or choosing pathways that were counter to the world. His word is very clear, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) For anyone in a season of doubt, I hope I can be a testimony that He withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11). Your season is coming. Thriving for me did not come without seasons of weathering heavy storms of loneliness, anxiety, grief, and doubt.
There is hope in being brave. There is hope in leaving behind the things of old. The past few years have refined me in a way that has positioned me to be right where I need to be. Let your age not be a determining factor on how you choose to live your life.
