“Embrace the season and cycles of your life. There is magic in change.” – Bronnie Ware

Today I am grateful. Grateful that my life does not look the same that it did last year or even the year before. You see, I think it is easy for you and I to succumb to the belief that our particular season will never come to an end. Whether that be a season of pain, a season of discomfort, or a season of waiting. Ecclesiastes gives us many examples of seasons we’ll face in life: times of birth, death, weeping and joy. The Bible shows us that experiencing good and bad times in our lives is normal and to be expected.
Here are a few core seasons of my life that I have navigated that all came to pass:
- Four years ago I did not believe I would ever overcome the survivors guilt of losing my sister.
- Two years ago I never thought I would overcome the grief of losing my father.
- One year ago I never thought my corporate work environment would improve.
- 7 months ago I never thought my nearly 30 year single season would have shifted.
All that being said, I am simply grateful and full of endless joy for this current season I am in. I am learning to cherish each day as there will not be another one like it. Be encouraged friends, if there is something you are hoping for or believing God to change in your life, He is able and willing to do so. Rest in His prescence and enjoy the highs and lows because there is magic in it all.
I am hoping to write more but also enjoying simply living each day in the present. If there are any topics you would like me to cover, please let me know! Stay well friends.
